Hi Russell
Yeah we do seem to have a lot in common with requirements. I had a look at Yasa motors this past week and I have to say the specific torque per kilogram is very impressive. I am going to try and get in contact with these guys this week to get some more info.

). Now I have never attempted anything like this before and I am trying to wrap my head around what I would like to accomplish. I currently drive a Land Rover Discovery 2 and a Volvo S60. I am not sure if I would want to do the conversion on either of these vehicles (admitted, the Ford conversion did make me toy with the idea of converting the Land Rover), and I am thinking that I would opt for another donor vehicle that has a substantial basic specification list, as i would still like to enjoy my daily commute in the vehicle. I am about 35km from the office one way, so I am looking at a total daily range of about 100km before the batteries will need to be recharged. Do you guys think this is doable or am I aiming too high?
